Build on Kyvro

Kyvro is a Solana-compatible SVM. Existing Solana programs (Anchor/SPL) deploy unchanged — only the RPC URL, cluster and genesis hash, program IDs, and explorer links change. Start on Testnet, where test tokens are free.

Quick start

  1. Step 1

    Point at Kyvro

    Custom RPC https://rpc-testnet.kyvro.si, then confirm the genesis hash. Wallet setup

  2. Step 2

    Fund a test wallet

    Claim KYV for fees from the faucet(opens in a new tab). requestAirdrop is disabled — the faucet is the only source. Use a wallet you only use for testing.

  3. Step 3

    Build with Anchor or SPL

    Standard Anchor and SPL tools. Set the provider cluster to Kyvro and verify the genesis hash before deploying.

  4. Step 4

    Deploy and inspect

    Deploy with your usual Solana tools, then look up the transaction signature on the explorer(opens in a new tab).

Your first program with Anchor

Standard Anchor commands with the verified Testnet settings.

  1. Install Anchor from its official guide(opens in a new tab), then run anchor init my-first-kyvro-app. It creates a sample program with an IDL.
  2. Set [provider] cluster to the Kyvro RPC and wallet to a test-only keypair, as shown here.
  3. Fund that keypair from the faucet. solana airdrop does not work on Kyvro — requestAirdrop is disabled.
  4. Deploy with anchor build then anchor deploy --provider.cluster https://rpc-testnet.kyvro.si. The keypair stays in your local wallet file, never in code.
  5. Invoke the program, then paste the transaction signature into the explorer search to read the logs. Watch slots, epochs and commitment levels (processed/confirmed/finalized).

Keep keys out of your code

Never commit a private key or keypair file, even a Testnet one, and never reuse a Testnet key on any other network. Nobody from Kyvro will ask for it.
Anchor.toml
# Anchor.toml
[provider]
cluster = "https://rpc-testnet.kyvro.si"
wallet = "~/.config/solana/id.json"  # test-only keypair, never committed

[programs.testnet]
my_program = "<YOUR-PROGRAM-ID>"
Deploy
# Build, then deploy to Kyvro Testnet.
anchor build
anchor deploy --provider.cluster https://rpc-testnet.kyvro.si
Check the connection
curl -s https://rpc-testnet.kyvro.si -H 'content-type: application/json' -d \
  '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"getGenesisHash","params":[]}'
# {"jsonrpc":"2.0","result":"A8qzbNkAdT1GsqmyKTifWnTgS7PuqqmniwdsGeaPc5Jo","id":1}

Network configuration

Generated from the site's verified network configuration. Any Solana tooling that accepts a custom RPC works.

@solana/web3.js
import { Connection } from "@solana/web3.js";

export const KYVRO_RPC = "https://rpc-testnet.kyvro.si";
const GENESIS_HASH = "A8qzbNkAdT1GsqmyKTifWnTgS7PuqqmniwdsGeaPc5Jo";

export const connection = new Connection(KYVRO_RPC, "confirmed");

// Fail fast if this RPC is not Kyvro Testnet.
const genesis = await connection.getGenesisHash();
if (genesis !== GENESIS_HASH) throw new Error(`Unexpected genesis hash: ${genesis}`);
Solana CLI
# Point the Solana CLI at Kyvro Testnet (use a test-only keypair).
solana config set --url https://rpc-testnet.kyvro.si

# Confirm the network identity before you fund or deploy.
solana genesis-hash
# A8qzbNkAdT1GsqmyKTifWnTgS7PuqqmniwdsGeaPc5Jo
SPL Token CLI
# SPL Token CLI against Kyvro (use a test-only keypair).
spl-token --url https://rpc-testnet.kyvro.si balance
spl-token --url https://rpc-testnet.kyvro.si create-token

Resources

Each resource is labelled with its current state.

Supported languages and tools

Confirmed on Testnet

  • Rust programs (native SBF) and Anchor
  • SPL Token 3.5.0, Token-2022 8.0.0, Associated Token Account 1.1.1 and Memo at their Solana addresses
  • @solana/web3.js and @solana/kit against the Kyvro RPC
  • Solana JSON-RPC over HTTPS and WebSocket (getSlot, getBlock, getTransaction, getAccountInfo, getBalance, simulateTransaction and more)

Documented configuration

Configuration for web3.js, the Solana CLI, the SPL Token CLI and Anchor is published above. These are standard Solana tools with no Kyvro-specific plugins.

Not available on Testnet

  • EVM tooling — Solidity, viem, ethers, Hardhat and Foundry do not apply to an SVM chain
  • debug_*-style traces — use simulateTransaction and the explorer instead
  • requestAirdrop — test tokens come from the faucet only
  • Price oracles and bridges
