Test assets#

tKUSD is the mint FPwMXWSGLm8ZBi5YDJroGMZjXqnYQgCmGCzVqs3YcgXe — check it on the explorer token page(opens in a new tab). Always read decimals on-chain: tKUSD uses 6 decimals, like USDC, and code that assumes 9 will be off by a factor of 10³. Never call tKUSD “USDC”: it has no issuer, no backing and no dollar value.

Associated token accounts#

On SVM, tokens do not live in your wallet address directly. Each owner holds each mint in a separate Associated Token Account (ATA) — a deterministic address derived from the owner and the mint. Your KYV balance is on your main address; your tKUSD balance is on your tKUSD ATA.

The faucet creates your tKUSD ATA for you (idempotently — claiming again does not create a second one) and pays the rent for it, so a first-time claim just works. If your own app sends users a token they have never held, create their ATA the same idempotent way and pay its rent rather than asking the user to do it.

Faucet#

The faucet(opens in a new tab) sends test assets to your address. You solve a short challenge to prove the request is genuine; the challenge authorises no transfer from you and costs nothing. requestAirdrop is disabled on Kyvro, so the faucet is the only source of test tokens.
