Wallets

Connect an SVM wallet with a custom RPC, and integrate Kyvro into wallet software.

Never share a seed phrase

No Kyvro site, faucet or team member will ask for a seed phrase or private key. Use a separate wallet or account for testing.

For users#

Any SVM wallet that supports custom networks works: Phantom, Solflare and Backpack are the common choices. Install one, add Kyvro as a custom network with the settings below, then connect here and verify the connection.

Manual settings#

No chain-add request#

There is no wallet_addEthereumChain equivalent on SVM: a wallet simply points at whatever RPC URL the user configured. After adding the custom network in your wallet's settings, run the check below — it calls getGenesisHash on the Kyvro RPC and compares it with the known value. A mismatch means the wallet is pointed somewhere else.

For wallet developers#

Accounts and signing

  • Addresses are base58 ed25519 public keys (32 bytes). Validate by decoding to 32 bytes plus an on-curve check — never by length or prefix alone.
  • Use standard Solana derivation (coin type 501, m/44'/501'/0'/0'); there is no Kyvro-specific derivation path.
  • Transactions expire with their recentBlockhash. Fetch a fresh blockhash with getLatestBlockhash, and retry with a new one on expiry rather than reusing the old transaction.
  • Show the user which accounts are signers and which are writable before they approve. Kyvro has no numeric chain ID to bind to — bind sessions to the genesis hash instead.

Balances, tokens and prices

  • Native balance: getBalance, 9 decimals, symbol KYV.
  • Each owner holds each SPL mint in its own Associated Token Account. Read the mint's decimals on-chain for every token: tKUSD uses 6 decimals, not 9. Do not ship a hardcoded token list: mint addresses change after a reset, and anyone can create a token with any symbol — the mint address, not the symbol, identifies a token.
  • There is no price feed for any Testnet asset. Show “Test network, no value” rather than a USD figure.

Commitment, history and resets

  • Default reads to confirmed; use finalized for values that must not move (see slots and commitment).
  • History comes from getSignaturesForAddress, paged with limit and before. Old history can be pruned: a missing signature is not proof a transaction never happened.
  • Cache the genesis hash and clear cached tokens, balances and history when it changes. See Testnet resets.
  • Only offer a “Get test tokens” button when the active network's genesis hash matches A8qzbNkAdT1GsqmyKTifWnTgS7PuqqmniwdsGeaPc5Jo, and link to the faucet(opens in a new tab) — requestAirdrop is disabled on Kyvro.
